Terms of Use

Terms built for the beta product that exists today

EDITH is a financial planning product in public beta. These terms set practical expectations around how the product works, what it does not promise, and where user verification still matters.

Effective April 19, 2026

1. What EDITH is

EDITH is a planning and decision-support product. It helps users understand where they stand, what action may matter most next, and how financial tradeoffs affect the plan.

EDITH is not a bank, broker, lender, credit bureau, tax preparer, or law firm.

2. Guidance only — not professional advice

EDITH provides planning guidance only. It is not personalized financial, investment, tax, accounting, or legal advice, and it should not be treated as a substitute for advice from a licensed professional.

If a decision has material legal, tax, investment, lending, or insurance consequences, you should verify it independently and consult the appropriate professional where needed.

3. Beta product status

EDITH is still evolving. Features, calculations, availability, and connected-data behavior may change during beta. Some outputs may be directional, and some connected or timing-sensitive features may operate with partial data.

4. Subscription billing

If you enroll in a paid EDITH subscription, billing is processed by Stripe using recurring subscription billing. Pricing, renewal timing, and plan status may be shown during checkout or inside the product.

Promotional beta or founding pricing may remain in effect only while the related subscription stays active. If a discounted or founding subscription is canceled or ends, reactivation may be offered only at the then-current standard price.

5. Cancellation

You can cancel a subscription through the billing method or account-management path EDITH makes available at that time. Cancellation stops future renewal charges after the current billing period unless local law requires otherwise.

Unless stated otherwise during checkout, fees already paid are non-refundable.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for reviewing your own financial accounts, confirming balances, verifying bill due dates, and making sure actual payments are made on time.

EDITH may use estimates when user inputs, due dates, or synced data are incomplete. You remain responsible for deciding whether and how to act on EDITH's output.

7. Connected institutions and synced data

If you choose to connect financial accounts, EDITH may use Plaid and related infrastructure to read account and transaction data needed for synced guidance. Connected access is optional.

Disconnecting a connection stops EDITH from treating that institution as an active synced source and deactivates the synced data tied to that connection in the product.

8. Acceptable use

You may not use EDITH in a way that is unlawful, abusive, deceptive, or intended to interfere with the service, other users, or EDITH's infrastructure.

You may not attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse EDITH's beta access, authentication flows, or connected-data features.

9. Availability and feature changes

EDITH may change, pause, or remove product features during beta. Access may be limited, interrupted, or revoked if required for testing, safety, or operational reasons.

10. Liability and warranty limits

EDITH is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis during beta. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, EDITH disclaims warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and uninterrupted availability.

EDITH is not responsible for losses caused by user decisions, missed payments, stale or incomplete data, third-party outages, bank-sync issues, or reliance on estimates where real-world conditions differ.

11. Privacy and data controls

Your use of EDITH is also governed by the Privacy Policy. If you use connected accounts, you can manage and disconnect them from Data Controls.

12. Contact

For billing, support, or legal questions during beta, contact support@getedith.io. This contact path may change before full commercial release.

13. Support and requests during beta

During beta, support, access, and data-related requests are handled through the support channel associated with your EDITH beta access.
